STORJ: A Blockchain project I like and Why
Of the multiple things that excite me about blockchain tech and its potential to revolutionize the modern business process, the most interesting and fundamental features are, in my opinion, trust and transparency through decentralization and democratization of data access and decision making.
It is however fascinating that multiple blockchain projects (call them cryptocurrencies) are either run by ‘anonymous’ teams or the last time you heard from them was when they published a white paper and raised money through an ICO circa 2017. They don’t provide regular updates nor do they care to educate the people, who will potentially scale the networks they are building now, and yet still naively believe that they are turning away from ‘the status quo’, while doing exactly what they claim to be against: being shady at the least and lacking transparency, and looking scammy.
These projects will most likely not live up to the expectations, and one should stay away from them all together (unless they are meme coins lol >>>jk)
On the other end of the spectrum, those who chose to build in public and embrace transparency and accountability as part of their building process have found consistent and steady progress, and have been building and strengthening community ties that will help with fast adoption, and scaling of the blockchain…
