You should never have to apologize for this:

In 1973, Sandra Day O’Connor became the first woman in U.S. history to hold the title of Senate majority leader. Eight years later, in 1981, she became the first female Supreme Court justice, breaking another glass ceiling.

By her passing in 2023, she had established herself as a prominent role model for women in politics and law practice.

However, this wasn’t her biggest legacy:

One day, while presiding over a Senate session, O’Connor received a call from her son’s school informing her that he had dropped cookies and lemonade she’d helped him make for a class party.

Without explanation, she recessed the session, went home to make another round of cookies and lemonade, and delivered them to the school…
